OPTOELECTRONIC CHARACTERIZATION OF PHOTOCAPACITORS

Methods for opto-electronic characterization of organic electrolytic photocapacitors (OEPCs) fabricated in the morning session will be demonstrated. Measurements of short-circuit photocurrent and open circuit photovoltage will be demonstrated and used for screening of the device properties, such as the RC constants and the peak photocurrents and photovoltages. Transient 3D photovoltage distribution maps will be measured using a robotic manipulator probe coupled to a pulsed light source and measured by a lock-in amplifier. Finally, spectral responsivity measurements of the OEPC devices will be demonstrated using a lock-in amplifier coupled step-scan Fourier-transform spectrometer.
